THE BOATS -
Electric or Hydrogen
A highlight at TUXEDO is the focus on the possibilities offered by the use of advanced systems and alternative solutions for yacht energy supply through battery electric systems or through the use of hydrogen.
A Tuxedo yacht can do away with the diesel generator and replace it with a fully electric or hydrogen system. In terms of benefits for anyone on board, this means zero vibrations, zero noise, zero odours and zero substances released into the air and water, all to the advantage of the well-being on board and in the surrounding area. Zero impact in environmental terms is thus achieved.
Tuxedo is at an advanced stage of study for a fully electric solution allowing its Walkarounds to be powered by batteries alone. Alternatively, one can take advantage of the technology developed by H2boat with its Energy Packs. Hydrogen is converted into electricity to be used by the propulsion system, guest services and navigation needs. Ecology and luxury go hand in hand with this all-Italian brand.
Supplementary electric propulsion, as an alternative to fossil fuels, can also be used in protected marine areas that would otherwise be closed off. Always in complete silence and without any emissions.
History
We talk about a passion rooted in the Ceccarelli Italian family and leading the Cantieri Navali di Lavagna to extraordinary results. A level of excellence also achieved thanks to twenty years of deep synergy, friendship and collaboration with the renowned designer Luca Dini.
Boating unites the path of the Ceccarelli family with that of architect Luca Dini.
His unmistakable design has made him one of the most respected and sought-after architects in the industry for more than 30 years. The ability to make a yacht personal and irreplicable make Dini the perfect creator of non-ordinary – albeit far from extravagance – and exclusive yachts just like the Tuxedo Yachts are.
In a sector where most yards build in fibreglass and therefore use moulds, the Tuxedo Yachting House has broadened its vision and horizons, championing an alternative way of building boats of this kind.
By choosing aluminium, Tuxedo has been able to do away with molds and any constraints imposed on customisation and even the pollution resulting from this huge piece of ‘disposable’ plastic.
The input of architect Dini has been just as significant as ever
Luca Dini has always been able to bring something new to the nautical world – and this time he will not be any different, with a completely new and inimitable design.
