FANCY is a high-performance cruiser-racer designed by Gilles Vaton and launched by JMV Industries of Cherbourg in 2004. The yard has an impressive track record of creating cutting-edge hulls, such as the Vendee Globe-winning Imoca 60 Geodis and the iconic Mari Cha IV.
Built using carbon-Nomex composite, FANCY takes advantage of a hydraulic lifting keel allowing a draught up to 5.50 meters to ensure an outstanding sailing experience and performance in all weather conditions.
FANCY stands out from similar designs by combining modern exterior design with traditionally styled molded wood interior, creating an exciting contrast that makes her unique and fascinating.
Her salon is cleverly divided by the entrance staircase into two distinct areas for dining and relaxation.
The space was refurbished in 2022 with new carpeting, upholstery, and wall panelling as part of a general interior refresh.
Four cabins onboard can accommodate eight guests. Three guest cabins, including the master suite, are located forward of the salon, offering privacy and peace away from engine noise and navigation activity. A fourth double cabin is situated aft of the salon.
Separate crew quarters are arranged aft and within reach of the navigation station and manoeuvring cockpit.
FANCY’s exterior offers guests plenty of space to relax and enjoy sailing.
In the central cockpit, a large folding table can comfortably seat eight people.
A sprayhood protects the cockpit from the wind, and a large bimini top shelters it from sun or rain.
The aft manoeuvring cockpit allows for sailing and motoring without disturbing the comfort of the passengers.
Always kept in top condition, Fancy has been continually upgraded by both her first and current owners.
The latest refit in 2021/2022 brought countless upgrades, including full lifting keel service, a summer and winter Bimini and new mattresses and cushions.
