Pelican One was first commissioned in 1985 as a working fishing vessel in the Alaskan waters, where in fact, she remained for the first 25 years of her life.
Acquired in 2009, the vessel moved to Italy, where conversion work began with Navaltecnica Costruzioni Navali of San Benedetto del Tronto, on the Italian Adriatic coast, and the careful supervision of her experienced owner.
The 2010 refit resulted in the boat being redesigned for Mediterranean use, exploration and sport fishing.
The second refit in 2013 included replacing the main engines, installing zero-speed stabilisers, and various internal modifications and improvements.
Finally, in 2016 the bulb was redesigned to optimise stability and fuel consumption, and total repainting was carried out inside and out.

Pelican One is designed and built to be highly reliable on long voyages, yet comfortable and easy to maintain.
The extensive interior use of white woods and marbles creates a pleasant luxury yacht feel.
She is equipped with a full navigation system for worldwide travel.
Pelican One lends itself to a variety of uses, both sporting and recreational and science research.
Equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and machinery, Pelican One boasts durable ocean-going materials and offers an exceptional cruising range.
As with any expedition yacht, the fuel and water tanks are oversized, so is the fresh and dry storage capacity for remote destinations,
where it proves harder to provision with all the necessary comforts.
